The Brownsville Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the City of Brownsville invite you to Friday With The City, an initiative to promote new projects and efforts the City of Brownsville is making for the betterment of our city.
Friday With The City: Emergency Planning & Preparedness will cover topics on disaster and hurricane season preparedness as well as COVID-19 response efforts.
The mission of the Brownsville Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security is to serve the citizens of the City by providing courteous, accurate, up to the minute access to city information and services; provide planning and efforts to prevent, mitigate the effects of, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters whether natural or man-made.
The Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security is overseen by Odee Ann Leal. Ms. Odee Ann Leal joined the City of Brownsville in 1995 and currently serves as the City of Brownsville Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security Director, EMC. Ms. Leal has over twenty years of experience in several capacities within the City of Brownsville and over 10 years of Emergency Management experience. Ms. Leal holds several certifications in Emergency Management and Homeland Security and sits on various Boards.
In addition, Jim Springob of ServPro of East Brownsville & South Padre Island will be discussing ways in which businesses can protect their buildings from natural disasters and disinfection of COVID-19.
