DESCRIPTION:As part of the Federal Contracting Series\, the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce is collaborating with the U.S. Small Business Administration to bring you the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Program workshop on Thursday\, March 4\, 2021\, at 10 AM.\n\n\n\nThe federal government's goal is to award at least five percent of all federal contracting dollars to women-owned small businesses each year.\n\n\n\nAt this workshop you will learn about the Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) and the Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) Program\, the benefits of being an Women-Owned Small Business certified firm\, and if you qualify for the WOSB or EDWOSB program.\n\n\n\nIn addition\, you will learn about the WOSB's application process. If your business is owned and controlled by a woman\, and you have a product or service you can sell to the federal government\, and you want to take advantage of federal contracting opportunities\, then this workshop is for you. This is a no-cost informational session.\n\n\n\nThe presenter will also cover the System for Award Management (SAM) and how to register.\n\n\n\nRegister today!\n\n\n\nSBA programs and services are provided on a nondiscriminatory basis.\n\nReasonable arrangements for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance.\n\n\n\nThe Informational Workshops have been organized by the SBA for the community.
